Lindsey Macdonald

Director of Strategy and Impact,

Lindsey is passionate about tackling inequality and a charity sector that delivers on the promises its makes. She is currently Director of Strategy and Impact at Street League, a leading sport for employment charity. She won a UK ‘Women of the Future’ award in 2017 and in 2018 achieved her MBA at Cass Business School having been awarded a women’s leadership scholarship. Lindsey had previously earned her doctorate at Brunel University, exploring monitoring and evaluation practice whilst embedding learning in the charity she co-founded, the Homeless FA. An avid coffee drinker, she is the Chair of Well Grounded, a social enterprise that is transforming the speciality coffee sector through its innovative barista training programmes.

  • Supporting public confidence in the charity’s impact through a #callforclarity campaign focussed on sector wide commitments to enhance transparency in impact
  • Developing the ‘three golden rules’ in reporting to prevent overclaiming, supporting outcomes with auditable evidence and supplying full figures to ensure claims are not misleading
  • Outlining Street League’s journey to transparency and how this can be replicated across the sector
